Silica-Rich Water Beneficial for Aluminum Detox
I should preface this post with saying you are already doing a great job. Probably the one and only thing I don’t love about holistic health is that sometimes it can feel overwhelming, like I’m not doing enough to combat the many threats the modern world presents. I’ve learned radical acceptance (thanks to having kids) and letting go of that guilt and worry that I’m not doing enough. Stressing out about every type of toxin is possibly perhaps just as toxic, as stress is a killer. So please read below knowing that you are already doing great and this is only some additional information that could be useful in your future.
Medicinal Brown opal flint (our product) releases natural occurring silica in water and has been studied and known to be extremely beneficial in pulling heavy metals (specifically aluminum) from the body. This research has been known and documented in Eastern Europe since the 1970’s, while other scientists and chemist like Dr. Christopher Exley from the UK have been thoroughly studying the subject for the past 30 years.
Why is aluminum and heavy metal detoxing important? As Anthony Willam (author and holistic healer) describes:
“In this modern era, we are bombarded by toxins of every kind imaginable. Our bodies are subjected to an onslaught of dangerous chemicals on a daily basis from things like air pollution, plastics, and industrial cleaning agents, not to mention the thousands of new chemicals introduced into our environment every year. Toxins also saturate our water reservoirs, fall down from the sky, and hide out in our homes and workplaces. This has become an unfortunate reality of modern life.”
Quite simply we live in the “aluminum age” and our bodies collect it over time, especially in our brains. Dr. Exley and other doctors have noted metal accumulation can trigger diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other debilitating health issues like headaches, chronic fatigue to organ damage.
Of course, not everyone will have these reactions. But why take the risk if there’s an easy way to detox from this on a daily basis?
One study showed that people drinking silica water daily experienced a significant reduction in their body load of aluminum, including a decrease to 70% in one case, over a period of just 3 months.
How does it work?
When you drink a silicon-rich mineral water the silicic acid in the water passes immediately from your gut and into your blood producing a temporary rapid increase in the silicic acid in your blood. It is this temporary high concentration of silicic acid in the blood which reacts with aluminium in the blood and helps the aluminium to be removed from the body in the urine.
There are other supplements that help this process of detoxification. We HIGHLY recommend Fulvic acids (tincture form) for this process as well. In fact Fulvic acids have very similar effects and results to drinking silica-rich water. I recently said that opal flint is just the rock form of Fulvic acids (healing humic substance found in dirt). Mother Earth truly has given us so much to help our bodies heal as we navigate this very exciting but often toxic modern world.
Another great tool for pulling aluminium and heavy metals is horsetail. In-fact, when you research the benefits and effects of horsetail, they are very similar to those found in water structured by brown opal flint. This is not a coincidence. Horsetail (the herb) is a great source for natural bioavailable silica and helps our body get rid of aluminum and other heavy metals. In fact there is a large content of silicon found in horsetail, more so than almost any other herb. Herbalist in Russia and around the world recommend drinking a simple tea from horsetail to help pull heavy metals from the body. Put about 1 tablespoon of loose dry horsetail in a stainless steel or other non-toxic tea diffuser, pour boiling water over the dry herb, and let steep for at least 10 minutes before drinking. You can drink 1-2 cups a day.
Finally, here's an informative PDF that Dr. Exley and his team made which demonstrates how the process of pulling metals while drinking silica-rich water works. You can access the PDF here:
